Co-living Tapawera - Mārawera Community
-
The CIRCLE team is currently designing a masterplan for Mārawera Community, a 10-household tiny home community in Tapawera.
Perched on a hilltop with sweeping 360-degree views, the site will include eight newly built, permanent tiny homes, along with two dedicated spaces for existing tiny homes. Plans also feature shared spaces and communal gardens to foster connection and resilience.
There’s potential for the community to run a tiny house Airbnb and lease the surrounding 25 hectares of farmland—offering both lifestyle and livelihood opportunities rooted in place. There is also space for the community to run a tiny house airbnb and lease the connected farmland of around 25 hectares.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest to be part of this community.
-
The land will be owned by the unit holders collectively, using a company structure where those that live in the homes own shares that relate to their unit and a share in the commons.
We will be utalising the Co-living rules that are unique to the Tasman region to develop this tiny house village.

This stunning hilltop property is being shaped into a place of beauty and belonging, featuring terraced community gardens, a shared gathering space, and a quiet meditation hut nestled into the landscape.
The community will be powered by its own solar farm, owned collectively by residents, with access to mains water and electricity as needed for resilience and ease.
